Meet Brewcity Cattery

Our story

Brewcity Cattery was registered with the TICA in 2023, however the owner has been breeding for several years. Andrea started out with two Himalayans many years ago and learned what it took to become a breeder of ethics over the years. Originally breeding himalayans at a very small scale, we have slowly been transitioning to specializing in Ragdolls as well, and over the past four years have slowly grown our foundation cats. Our cats are registered with TICA (The International Cat Association) and we are proud members.

Our Breeding Program

Our breeding program prioritizes the health, beauty, and temperament in the kittens we produce. We carefully consider each pairing with the best interests of our cats in mind, striving to provide companions to those looking for a quality kitten from a knowledgeable, loving breeder. All of our adult cats undergo DNA testing and have tested negative for HCM, PKD, FELV, FIV and a variety of other genetic illnesses, insuring the kitten you bring home will be healthy. We stand behind the health of our cats by offering a health guarantee. Our kittens are spayed and neutered prior to leaving the cattery, as well as immunized and forgot a deworming/ preventative protocol.

We provide our pet parents with insurance through Trupanion for free for 30 days when our kittens go home.

Our cats are our pets first and foremost, and are treated as such. We are a small cattery, our cats are not caged and have free roam of our household. We take great pride in the way we work hard to make sure every kitten is well socialized prior to leaving us.

Our kittens

Each and every kitten we produce is cherished and loved just as much as their new families will! We are very familiar with the different personalities between each kitten and they are seen as individuals. Our kittens stay with us and their mama until about 12 weeks of age. We take health very seriously, and do as much as we can to provide kittens that are in great physical condition, but have a mellow, sweet temperament to match. Our babies are raised alongside us in our home, usually playing and romping in the living area. We work with them while they are with us to expose them to a variety of experiences, including car rides, exposing them to travel crates, general socialization, manners such as not scratching furniture or crawling up legs, and not jumping on counters. Working with socialization is key to having a cat that is tolerant with children and other pets and not prone to bad habits.

“What greater gift than the love of a cat.”

Charles Dickens

Responsible Breeding

Each kitten is surgically spayed and neutered prior to leaving to their new families. This is a quick procedure, and our veterinarian is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in pediatric spay/neuter of felines, we trust her expertise fully and have never had issues with spaying or neutering our kittens.

Early spay and neuter (ESN) has been thoroughly researched and has proven to be more beneficial to felines, rather than waiting to alter later in life. ESN prevents a variety of behavioral issues including spraying by both males and females, as well as hormonal imbalances and changes they would otherwise experience once sexually matured. By practicing ESN, we maintain a program of ethics to insure every action is taken to provide our kittens with the best possible future. Spaying and neutering not only prevents unwanted behaviors, but unwanted litters and litters bred out of greed with no thought to where kittens will end up later in their life. In addition, this procedure at a local vet office is very costly for the buyer, and the risk is taken on the breeder rather than the kitten family. It insures that once you bring your kitten home, all you have to worry about is loving him or her as much as possible, rather than worrying about vet appointments and costs.

All of our babies go through a preventative protocol that keeps them parasite free. Around 6 weeks of age, they receive a three day dose of dewormer. In addition, around the time of their second vaccination, they receive a dose of Revolution which prevents against fleas, ticks, heart worm, mites and some intestinal parasites. Please speak to your vet about prescription parasite preventatives as OTC preventatives are very dangerous!

Immunizations are essential to keeping your new family member healthy and happy. They protect against several deadly virus's that any cat could carry and catch. By the time our babies leave with their new families, they receive atleast their first and second set of FVRCP vaccinations. We do not vaccinate our kittens for feline leukemia and our health guarantee is void if a kitten is found to have been vaccinated with this vaccine! The feline leukemia vaccine has been known to cause issues such as fibrosarcomas (cancerous tumors under the skin) and lead to amputation of limbs and expensive treatments. Please contact if there would be a reason a feline leukemia vaccine is necessary for your kitten to discuss exceptions to this term of contract.

At Brewcity Cattery, we strive to maintain ethical breeding practices. This not only includes keeping our environment clean for our kitties to live in, but being responsible for each kitten we produce and setting them up with a lifetime of happiness insuring forever homes. We do not condone surrendering and adding to the homeless pet population, so we will always take a kitten back if necessary or help to place a cat that is unable to be kept for whatever circumstance.

Our Expertise

Brewcity cattery was registered with TICA in 2023, but the owner, Andrea, has a lifetime of experience with many different types of animals, especially cats. Andrea has hands on experience in vetmed and a vast knowledge on feline health. An animal lover all her life, she attended college majoring In biology with the goal of working with animals. Andrea has experience working with rescue cats and continues to constantly research and gain knowledge of felines and animals in general. She started breeding about 6 years ago with only one male and one female, over the years, she continually worked on improving her knowledge and researched throughly to obtain the foundation cats at Brewcity Cattery.

Color and confirmation

We have chosen our males and females to provide very colorful kittens to serve all different buyers. Our ragdfolls can produce seal, blue, flame, cream, and tortie. We do have one blue mink (cherubim) female which is a new addition to the ragdoll breed with TICA. The two main colors we produce between our Himalayans are seal, blue and lynx point!

Our standards

We adhere to the highest standards when it comes to breeding. We only breed cats that are healthy, happy, and have the best possible temperament. We follow an ethical breeding program including health testing our kings and queens to insure healthy kittens are produced free of illnesses such as HCM, PKD, Felv, FIV, and a variety of other genetic illnesses.

a lifetime of support

Buying a kitten from Brewcity, you can be assured we will be with you every step of the way for support before you bring your baby home, after, and throughout its lifetime. We often become very close with our kitten families, with some having returned to buy a second (or third!) kitten. Over the course of the 12 weeks our babies stay with us, we frequently communicate with our kitten families to answer any questions they may have, send photos, video and personally get to know them. The owner is great with keeping communication and personally reaches out several times a week for picture updates, vet exam updates, and share cute and quirky characteristics specific to that particular kitten.

We specialize in Himalayans and Ragdolls

Yes, we provide a written health guarantee for all of our kittens

You can reserve a kitten by filling out the contact us form, including your name, phone number and email address. From there you will be responded to privately to discuss the kitten you'd like to reserve to make sure that kitten is the right fit as well as go over our buying process and review our contract.

Yes! We love to see our babies go home in pairs! Despite what people have thought in the past, cats are very social animals, especially ragdolls and himalayans. Both breeds do great in pairs and we have many past clients with two or more of our babies! We will work with you to figure out which two kittens fit well together and give a discount if you return for a second kitten or take two at a time.

YES AND NO. We do not ship kittens cargo. We are willing to work with you to figure out a way to get your kitten to you, but most families locally pick their kittens up, either by driving or flying in and bringing their kitten back as a carry on. We are able to meet within a reasonable distance with additional fees for gas. Another option is a travel nanny, where a transportation specialist flies in-cabin with your kitten to a local airport near you, insuring he or she is safe and comfortable. Please contact in regards to obtaining a kitten and we will try our best to work with you!

No. This goes against the entire point of us making the effort to spay and neuter our kittens. If you are looking to breed, even at a small scale, please thoroughly research and find a mentor prior to buying your breeding cats, then reach out about purchasing breeding rights. We will not sell kittens at pet prices unaltered!
